Joel finally started classes last week on Thursday. To make up for the missed days they had an 8.5 hour catch up day on Saturday. Not really what they were hoping to do on a Saturday. But it helped I think. So when the welcome back party came around on Saturday night they were ready to relax. I really wish I would have taken pictures of this place where we had the party. It is called Steve's Place, because it is just that, Steve's yard. Complete with a bar, a whack load of speakers and a good time. I am sure we will be back there before the end of the semester so I will have to bring my camera next time.
The party was a great time to meet Joel's friends and some of the wives I will be spending my time with while I am on this small rock called Saba. Everyone I met was great and I can't wait to get to know them better.
Yesterday was the soccer tournament they have at the beginning of every semester. Being the supportive wife I am I went with him, with my big bag of snacks a book and a magazine to keep me busy. I thought for sure without my soccer wife friends (Mackenzie and Jaclyn) I would be bored out of my mind. But nope didn't touch the book or the magazine. Because the games were really short, it was entertaining to watch them in the rain and I met a new friend. Here are a few pictures of the super professional field that is bidding to host the next World Cup (kidding).

This next one is of Joel's team waiting for their turn to play in the rain.

Little did they know that the rain was going to get worse when their game started.

But in true Saban form an hour later the weather was beautiful.

At this point the tournament was over but the pizza was not there yet so they fooled around a little bit and tried not to get as dirty as Joel.

Because Joel is back in school not much happened last week. This week though I have a couple things already planned. One I am going to try Zumba tonight. One of the wives teaches it 3 days a week and I really need to start working out. And two there is a dinner for the spouses on Thursday so I will get to meet even more of them, should be fun. So I will leave you with just one more picture and you guessed it, it is of food. I made lasagna last week and it was delicious and it smelled so good we took pieces before I could even take a picture....
