Are you ready for some picture overload?!
I'm going to share a picture recap of our island hopping adventure.

First stop, Anguilla BWI. The long, "flat" (as Angela would say, but she has never been to the prairies) island with 33 white sandy beaches.
At this point we had no idea how much fun we were about to have.

(L to R: Steve, Ashley, Nathan, Angela, Joel and me)

We rented a villa since there were 6 (and at one point 7) of us. It came with this little view.

With access to the water

Not to shabby

The next day we headed to the #1 beach on the island.
Shoal Bay East

Ready!

Set!

YAY! We love it here!

We had lunch at a beachside grill and then took an afternoon siesta, of course in a hammock.

Our little hammock village

Joel taking in the beautiful island. Looking like a model in my books.

Joel and his nice set of coconuts

The next day we decided to take a tour of the island.
We just happened to stop at the beautiful Viceroy when it started to rain so we had to have a drink.
It was gorgeous! They even gave us warm towels since it was a little chilly out.

When planning the next day Nathan was determined that we needed to do all the things people come to Anguilla for so we headed over to Sandy Island. A small island that you can see right behind me in this picture.

We took a little boat, had a LONG lunch and did some snorkelling.

Next stop, Rendezvous Beach for a picnic lunch, long walks on the beach, starfish, swimming and suntanning.

We were told we had to go to Little Bay from our friend Leslie.
Boy she was not wrong that place was fantastic.

A little hard to get to, but beautiful.

The cooler with the beer and lunch had an adventure of it's own to get to the beach

 We went cliff jumping

First Joel.

Then me.

And after a little coaxing and a bribe we got Angela to.

It's nice to see the boys so happy and relaxed.

That night we went back to Shoal Bay East to watch the sunset.
I don't know what is prettier the sunset or us.

Then was the day the boys were really waiting for.
Spearfishing with some locals.

They did well.

Kissing fish

Who's the boss in this relationship?

And of course we feasted!

We thought our haul was good then we went to the Festival del Mar where they had a deep sea fishing competition. Wowza!

The next day was Easter so of course we went to church. And since we were with a bunch of Maritimers we had to find the only Catholic church on the British island. Very aptly names St. Gerard's (the same name as my elementary school).

Being our last night on beautiful Anguilla we decided to cap it of with drinks at the gorgeous Cap Juluca

We were having such a great time we didn't really want to leave. But we were heading to St. Barths. So we packed up said goodbye to Anguilla and hello to beautiful St. Barths. Definitely an island for the rich and famous. The villas and yachts were amazing.

We only had a few days but we managed to drive every road, eat good food, do a lot of shopping and hit some beautiful beaches.
Like Shell Beach, and it is just that, full of shells. Angela and I did some hunting.

They were all so pretty.

The next day the boys lucked out and were able to rent surf boards. Nathan, being the only one who actually surfs, took the boys out at 5:30 am to face the waves.
Lorient beach was minutes from our hotel and was perfect for beginners.

It was also great for a pictures.

We all wanted to stay longer but our budget and the plane schedules did not allow it. So we took our private plane back to St. Maarten. Who needs to charter planes when you can book a regular flight and be the only ones on it. That's just how we roll.

And now we are back to reality and still dreaming of our lazy days on the beaches....

I know I have been terrible at updating everyone with what had been going on around here. Joel has finished his 4th semester and now only has 4 months left on Saba. Since this was his last semester break we decided to explore a couple neighbouring islands with some friends before we headed back to Canada. Since we are still on vacation (and I am a little lazy) I do not have any pictures ready to share just yet. But you are in luck. Angela (one of the lovely ladies I am vacationing with) did a new blog post today with some fantastic pictures to make you all jealous. Here's the link. Enjoy!

Okay I am finally doing it. Writing a post on my trip that I got back from a week ago.
I have been a busy lady since I got home so sorry for the delay.

So here is a post about my trip to London with my Nana.
More about the rest of my trip later.
This post is loaded with pictures so enjoy.

Well this trip was an adventure.
I had so much fun and I cannot wait to get back there.
Nana and I were there for 3 full days and we barely saw or did anything because there is sooo much!
We did shop though because we can find a way to do that anywhere.

This was our first day and the first red double decker we saw. And yes I get that face from her all the time.

We had a little trouble finding it but we made it to Harrods!

Nana waiting for the tube. She was a pro by the end of the last day.

Since I now sew I had to find Liberty of London. I wanted to take pictures of the inside so badly but I think I would have been yelled at. It is gorgeous inside and they have half a floor dedicated to sewing. It was my first time being in a fabric store since I started sewing. It was VERY hard to resist.

Not only do they sell beautiful fabric but beautiful flowers

We also stopped by Marks and Spencer but the only pictures I have from there are Nana eating and I know she would be so mad at me for posting them.

On our way home that night I found the house I would like Joel to buy me
Just a little something

The next day we did more walking and did Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Nana's favourite Trafalgar Square.

She was always too busy looking at everything else but the camera when I was trying to take a picture.

Piccadilly Circus where I found a GAP store with a 50% off sale so I bought my sister and I matching t-shirts.
That's how we roll.

Nana was ecstatic to find this stature of Florence Nightingale, her hero.

We saw so many beautiful parks with the flowers blooming

Can you tell she is happy to be there?

That was a lot of walking so once we were done our little tour we headed back to the hotel to relax for a bit. We spent that afternoon having tea and sweets at a cafe by the hotel and finished the night off with a nice big plate of fish and chips at the local pub. Perfect!

The last day we had a tour scheduled. A bus tour.
We got on and got our cameras ready. Nana was ready for action.

We saw where Kate and William will be married in a few weeks
Westminster Abby

And across the street Westminster Cathedral

Nana was so happy she danced around light posts

But then promptly sat down and ate a little something with King George V

We saw the Calvary Museum and had out pictures taken with horses.

I took special consideration of the sign because of my recently string of bad luck with animals

Then we stopped by to say hello to The Queen and Buckingham Palace

Saw a little of the changing of the guards

We moved across the Thames so I could take this really cool picture of the London Eye with Big Ben in the middle

We stopped for lunch at Covent Garden and I treated Nana to a little macaroon for dessert

I did love it there I just wish we had more time to walk around

We moved on to the most important church, St. Paul's Cathedral.
Two reasons: Charles and Diana were married there and secondly this is where they first see the bird lady in Mary Poppins

Nana loved it too

Isn't she cute with two pairs of glasses

The final stop of the day before we take a river tour
Tower of London

There were guards marching

Bridges

And Nana's favourite, Beefeaters
My favourite was the Crown Jewels
To each their own

I enjoyed myself and from what I can tell Nana did too.
We found her the William and Kate cup she was looking for and saw a lot in a quick 3 days.
I hope you enjoyed this picture party.
I'll write more about the rest of the trip soon.

I posted a lot of things the other week, then I disappeared.
Just in case you were wondering I have been working, working and working.
Long days, but a great job so I can't complain.
But since I spend so much time there I thought I would show you what it looks like.
It is the perfect place to stay on Saba.
You get a cute little cottage with a balcony and a full kitchen.
Plus you are in Windwardside which had everything you need.
Groceries, bank, post office, restaurants, dive centres and shopping.
Okay on to the pictures...

This is the main building.
Lobby and reception on the main floor and kitchen and manager's apartment on the second.

Welcome to The Cottage Club

Our big breakfast table.
A great place to sit and chat.
Which happens a lot here.

The view from the main house

Our cute walkway to the cottages.

There were people at the pool so I had to take pictures from up on the driveway.
The pool is my favourite part, it has a gorgeous view.

Well I hope you liked the tour.
Come visit anytime!
